Taekwondo

Taekwondo is a Korean martial art used for both combat and self-defense. In English, Tae translates as ‘foot’, Kwon means ‘fist’ and Do means ‘path’ or ‘way’, so essentially Taekwondo is the ‘way of the foot and fist’. The sport concentrates on fast, high power kicks supported by a series of blocks, punches, and open hand techniques.

Our school is based on the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) style of teaching. We initially focus on the Taeguk “poomsae” or forms, which are choreographed routines that employ the basic techniques. Students will learn self defense, Olympic-style sparring, and Hapkido in addition to demonstrating their skill and technique with board breaking. But most importantly our students learn the tenants of our school motto: Honor, Discipline, Respect, and Success.

We have classes for every age starting with our Little Lions program and going through adults. Please take a look at our schedule for class times.
